Desire to install XP w/ Kubuntu already installed.

I want to install Windows XP, just for a LAN party. I've been using linux for at least 4 years now, and for some gaming fun I need XP. I have two HDs, and only one of them is using Kubuntu linux. The other is totally free. Is there a way I can install windows, without it erasing linux? I prefer to involve grub or lilo in this.

Thanks!

Just install XP on the empty disk. Keep the Linux disk as the boot drive (if you inverse the disk order to install, make sure to inverse it again afterwards). Then in /boot/grub/menu.lst, place this at the end:

title Windows XP
map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
chainloader +1

Remember to leave a blank line.

What I have done sometimes is to remove the Linux hard disk, install the empty hard disk as the master and install Windows, Move the Windows disk to slave and use the map-drive option of either Grub or Lilo.

EDIT: Errrr, like jay73 said.
