default font for viewing text files

When I open or view a text file, the font of the text is some weird looking cursive style. How do I change the default font for viewing text files?

Nevermind I figured it out.

From Konqueror, go to Settings | Configure Editor | Fonts

Ok I set the font I wanted, but it doesn't stick. It reverts back to the old font style. How do I make it stick?

Would have thought there'd be a save settings. Don't really use graphical file managers though so can't help so much. Use shell and vi. Funny, since I have to use stinkin NT all day at work.

I have the same problem. I can change the font while using
any editor for the session, but it always goes back to Arisoso ( very cursive, very illegible). This makes using Package manager impossible because you can not read any results from dependencies. very annoying. I have tried removing various font packages but I think I am wndering around in the dark. Is there a config file for KDE fonts that we can access through a console?

I found the solution. Anyone else having this problem listen up.

1. Right-click on Desktop.
2. Select "Create New".
3. Select "Text File...".
4. Open up that text file.
5. Click "Settings".
6. Click "Configure Editor...".
7. Click Fonts.
8. Choose the Font you want.
9. Click OK.

Now all the file you open, or text file you preview, should default to that font you just selected.
