Question Debain Packages?


Hi when I try to remove GCC (BROKEN), the apt system says that there was a error with some headers to download (no net connection, disabled net adrsses). Aptitude says can't find libc>

Help

Hi,

Did you try -f option (fix broken) or reinstall?

How exactly are you trying to remove gcc?

I was trying to install it, it said it needed libc which won't install. It says its BROKEN and will not fix

Doesn't sound like it actually got installed then. You can use dpkg -l to get a list of installed packages; if gcc is not among them it wasd not installed to begin with due to the problems.
