Creating HFS part in Redhat for storage of mac files
Hello everybody. Once again, I need your help. Is it possible for Redhat 9, unmodified kernel, to create an hfs partition for temporary storage of mac files from my powerbook? I've tried copying some mac files to pc, and it won't allow it, saying some files are missing. But I've done this with avi, movie, excel, doc files with no problem. I came to the conclusion that some mac files, such as .dmg images and .sit (stuffit- like winzip) can't be stored on a pc with ordinary partition. I know linux supports lots of filesystems. Would it be possible to create hfs partition on Redhat without modifying the kernel? I know hfs+ isn't suported still.
I know that yellowdoglinux - a redhat-like linux for PPC has support for hfs built-in, and has gotten it to work. Can someone tell me whether redhat allows this too? Am running out of space on my powerbook, and I don't want to upgrade my hard disk yet.
Thanks.
