create symlink with an option,e.g. gunzip & gzip,how?

how can we create a symlink to run as a program with a specific option?
e.g. guznip(symlink) = gzip -d

You can't do that with a symbolic link. Just create a simple script which will do that.

Ex.

cat > gunzip <<EOF
#!/bin/bash
gzip -d
EOF

Just make the script executable 'chmod +x gunzip' and then gunzip will run gzip -d.
