create crtl+c and ctrl+v shortcuts because of my disease.
Hi,
I have a rare disease on my right wrist and I am using the mouse with my left hand. It's working ok but the problem is when I need to use crtl+c and crtl+v. I keep switching my left hand from mouse to the keyboard and my working performance has fallen.
I am use kubuntu and I am looking to change the ctrl+c to only "c" key and ctrl+v to only "v" key.
What do you think, it's that something possible ? What are the suggestions ?
Thanks
then whenever you're typing something that requires a c or a v you will always end up copy or pasting ... I don't do keyboard mapping for the keyboard itself but I do not off the top of my head don't see you cannot change them to a combination where it is easier for a two finger combination to do the same. It is mostly driven by Desktop, window manager, so depending on what desktop you're using you need to make sure it does not already have these two key assigned to do something else. You're using a *BUNTUTUTU nixxy distro this might help

I'd first suggest you think about what you just posted, because if you do as you want to, EVERY SINGLE WORD with a "C" or "V" in it, will be copied/pasted, as you type. And I'm not sure how much your work-performance would really suffer from briefly taking your hand off the mouse, since you also had to take your right hand off in the past to accomplish the same thing.
As with several of your other posts under both your ID's over the years, a small bit of research would have given you a start. There are sticky-key options in (K)Ubuntu and on pretty much every OS, specifically to deal with accessibility and motor-control users. https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubunt...kykeys.html.en
