Continuing KDE Sound Issues

First off -
Running Slackware 10.0 w/KDE 3.3.2
Sony Vaio PCG-GRX560 Laptop

I get this message when KDE initializes:

Code:
Informational -artsmessage
Sound Server Information Message
Error while initializing the sound driver
device /dev/dsp can't be opened (no such device)
The sound server will continue using the null output device
The output of lspci -v shows this:

Code:
00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corp. 82801CA/CAM AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 02)
Subsystem: Sony Corporation: Unknown device 80fa
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 0, IRQ 9
        I/O ports at 1c00 [size=256]
        I/O ports at 18c0 [size=64]
and running alsaconf shows that no drivers are available. Suggestions?

I don't see the sound modules, what kernel are you using? Have you tried modprobing the modules?
good luck.
