Connecting SiliconDust HDhomerun Dual to my TV?

Hi group,

I need to connect a SiliconDust HDhomerun Dual to my TV.
Will a Roku work? If not, what should I use? I am looking at a Raspberry Pi.

What are you trying to accomplish?
What are the capabilities of your TV?

Interesting, this device appears to be a tuner that converts over the air TV (or regular cable) signals to streaming media. So if you have a samrt TV that has DLNA capability you do not need anything else.

With the RPi you can use xbmc and I believe the Roku has DLNA capability.

We'd need to know the exact model. They have a few versions and each one has different features.

The Tv is a Vizio VS26L with no Ethernet but 2 HDMI ports. I plan on using the cheapest Roku with Ethernet and HDMI port.

So you want to use DLNA?

Depending on the version of hdhomerun you may have different features available. I've not had much luck with the web based viewing. I never bothered to run dlna but it might work. See the tips at silicondust on dlna.

I don't know if either your receiver or roku has dnla.

Since this has little to do with linux we can't really help you. Might try the silicondust forums.
