Exclamation

I just installed Redhad Wolverine and was running Gnome as my default GUI. I wanted to see what other GUIs looked like and changed to Window Maker using a util in Gnome.

Window Maker Sucks and I want Gnome back, but there is no cute little util to fix my problem.

Could someone please help me change back to Gnome?

Thanks

Leatha

I am not familiar with RedHat Wolverine, but I think you can change the default window manager in your xinitrc file, usually located in /var/X11/lib/xinit/

Hope this helps.

I've used RH7 for a couple of months now, and usually the easiest way to change the GUI is at the login screen. There should be a menu called 'Session' which will drop down a list of GUI sessions to choose from-I use Gnome and Blackbox primarily.
Blackbox is just too cool

You can also put the xinitrc file into your home directory, just remember to name the file .xinitrc and if there is no such file, just create it with any text editor you like.

Make sure that there is this line in .xinitrc:
exec gnome-session

That should launch gnome again.

killjoy: Yes, blackbox is cool... it just rocks!
