Changing hostmane

Hi all,

I'm attempting to change the hostname on my laptop running Red Hat 8. I'm using the hostname command but the change is not taking. It's been a while since I've changed hostnames and I may be doing this incorrectly. Am I using the wrong command?

that should working fine, assuming there are no obviosu error messags being returned. you can do it manually easily enough though, just edit /etc/hosts and /etc/sysconfig/network and you'll be fine.
