Unhappy certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details: error:14090086:SSL rout

Hi everyone,my name is panoshin and this is my first post.I am not a programmer but I am following R project for Betfair API,When I attempt to log in ,in Rcurl programming,I can't do it and that's what I see written in R platform ; certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details:
error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed
After a bit googling ,I read a fellow suggest that because the language is in Rcurl can't access the server. My question is:what and how can I do and allow the connection from my platform to the Api server?
Thank you all so much
