cdparanoia is making me paranoid!

Hello, I get this error in /var/log/errors whilst ripping from cdparanoia and I was wondering what exactly this means!?

Here is a snipet of what I meant.

Aug 18 12:38:33 localhost kernel: hdd: lost interrupt
-----------------------------------<snipet>---------------------------------
etc etc etc...

This problem isn't exactly stopping me from performing a rip, but it would be nice to know what's going on. /dev/hdd is a Samsung 52x cdrom and is used because I find it rips about 5x faster than my lite-on 52x24x52 burner (which is strange cause the buffer is higher?). Any help is greatly appreciated

cdparanoia is blocking the interrupts that the kernel usually recieves from the drive.

This is not that unusual. Its obviously accesing the drive directly cutting out the kernel. Which is probably why its faster on this drive than the other.

Nothing to worry about, as long as it returns to normal once its finished.
