Question CD Burned with XP doesn't work with Linux

As the subject line states..

I burned a CD-R of audio music, using Nero on an XP computer...
And now when I try to play it in my drive here on my linux box.. it doesn't work.
The path /mnt/cdrom is locked, even for root, and says I don't have "permission" to access the device.

Is there something I have to do before I burn the cd with XP so the CD-R/File permissions will work with Linux? Or maybe it's something to do with Linux?

Any ideas?

Well, audio CD's can't be mounted ... try using
kscd or something the like to play it.

Cheers,

Well then.. I guess that solves my problem.
I never really did try to play it with KsCD.. But I still figured I'd be able to view the files within the File Manager and drag them into XMMS... (similar to windows).

Thanks.

You can open an audio cd in xmms by right clicking on xmms, choosing 'play file' and browse your way to the cd. If you still have permission problems post your /etc/fstab. AFAIK linux wouldn't recognize (or at least adhere to) any windows file permissions so it would have to be permissions for the device.
