Why not download and burn some LiveCD linux distribution with gParted or QTparted, and use that? Ubuntu (Kubuntu/Xubuntu, if you like KDE/XFCE instead of Gnome) 6.06 live/install CD is such a thing; download the new "install" CD, insert it in the drive, wait until it's ready, open gParted and do your partitioning, reboot and you're done. No floppies needed.
