cannot open /dev/ttyS ...resource or driver busy...error..

message comes when wvdial is used

i had once entered setserial command with /dev/cua2

a friend tells me this is the cause of this problem.. you should have entered dev/ttyS2

how can this be corrected...as modem is not responding

i have the drivers for my modem but do not know how to install them...the drivers are on a floppy..so if u could pls explain me how to go about it.
