I know nothing about yahoo cause I just hate yahoo, but do they allow you to relay through their mail servers ? I personally wouldn't think they would, but that would be my first question for you ..

Secondly, wouldn't it be easier to use the smtp server from your ISP ? Just a thought.

well on my slackware box I edit :
Code:
/etc/mail/sendmail.cf
and the section that states :
Code:
# "Smart" relay host (may be null)
#DSslackbox.slackbox
DSsmtp.eastlink.ca
You didn't state your distro, but I think the sendmail package is pretty generic and I think you'll find that config in the folder also.

You'll notice where mind has "smtp.eastlink.ca" and thats my ISP's smtp server and thats what I relay through.

Just replace with your own. Basically edit the line that you put that yahoo one at
