Can't chroot to slackware to 'mkinitrd' to add to grub menu

Hey, I'm trying to boot Win2k, FC5, and Slackware 10.2 with GRUB. The trouble is, I can't make initrd.gz, I don't know what modules to add to /boot/initrd-tree. I just want my system to boot to slackware, so any kind of fix is greatly appreciated. Thx.

EDIT: I CAN chroot to slackware (hda6) now, (new live disk) but don't understand mkinitrd, as stated above already.

I don't know how to use Grub, but search the Slackware forum and you'll find ten thousand posts on the subject.

You don't need to do anything with the initrd. The kernel you selected at installation time is copied to /boot and doesn't require any additional config.

The default kernel is /boot/vmlinuz which is symlinked to the actual kernel.
