Question BSP: config files & the 2.6 kernel.

Hi,

I m writing a board support software to support kernel 2.6 on a MIPS Au1500 32 bit processor.

To start with I m writing config files. I have a question regarding the same:

what is the difference between a kconfig and a config.in file? does the kernel version 2.6 NOT support either of these files?

-Ashlesha.
