borg backups on multiple destinations

Hi,
Currently, I am using borgmatic to handle my backups on a external USB disk.

Now I have a external networked disk, nothing fancy, its a 2T Seagate device that supports rsync/FTP for off-line access and windows remote folders/shares for on-line access that I would like to use to have an additional tier of protection.

I would like to backup the same data on 2 different destinations: the local disk and the remote one, but not at the same time. I mean, at one session I run the backup on the local disk and at another session the data goes to the external disk.

AFAIK, I can duplicate the config files with a different name and another destination and manually choose to run the backup on local disk and on next run I choose to run the another backup, the one that saves on remote disk.

Looks awkward and depends on my memory to remember which was run last time.

Anyone knows a better (automatically/smart) alternative than the above ?
I looked at borg resources for a plugin or something but I found nothing.

name the 2 files ex: usb.backup.foo and 2T.backup.foo

put them in cron to run at the desired times

Maybe I am reading the original post wrong, but I think if you have the same file on 2 different locations.

For example you could have two files called 10 Downing Street, and if one is in London and the other in New York it would be difficult to get them wrong.

As for not knowing which to back up today, get into a habit of updating one on even numbered days and the other on odd numbered days. Or back up one on Saturday the other on Sunday..... Or something like that.
