Boot Linux From USB

I'm looking from some kind of *nix distro that is made to be booted off of a USB device, are there any?

I found a 256MB usb memorex stick in the parking lot and was thinking about putting it to some good use.

I was thinking of using a distro like damn small, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't a distro specificly designed for this purpose. If there isn't a distro made for this, some information on configuring damn small for this purpose would be helpful.

The ability to boot off a USB device is a function or your mobo and BIOS, not the distro. If you get into BIOS, go to the boot section, and see USB as an option, you should be able to just move it to the top of the list, then boot from your pendrive (or whatever). If your mobo/BIOS does not support this, then (at least as far as I'm aware) there is no workaround. -- J.W.
