2. I installed a custom (suspend2 kernel with the help of a couple of deb files) any idea how to backup and restore kernel info. not talking about menu.lst, but the kernel itself.

3. Users : I added a few users, now how to get the same user with the same file permission, password, settings an all after a reinstall?

4.Keyboard layout: where are these stored, I enabled the indic keyboard leyout.

Note I just want to know the files/folders to be backed up for the above.
