Apache with FTP

Hey all,

I looked about treads regarding my question without success.I am asking:Is there a way to FTP in Apache2,port 80?Example,my brother want to send me a 20Mb file,I would like him to drag & drop the folder to my webpage ,he could upload it in my Apache...I am behind a firewall at work but I have a redirect to my computer,Example:172.654.23.25:1089 and Voila,Anyone from the outside can access it,with the right passwd of course ( .htaccess)...

I looked in httpd.conf,nothing rings the bell.I am familiar with httpd but I do not know any apps that would let me do that FTP via Apache2....Im using Fc4.I Tried eZpublish but it does not like my kernel I guess !?!

Thanks in advance,

Martin.

You can do it using cgi, php scripts or even javascript. Just do a google search and you'll find lots of scripts for file uploading via a web server.

Great thx!
Just one minor detail,when I try to login to Upload 1.0,by default user is: member,passwd:member.I get--> Invalid passwd! My password.txt is Executable of course.Am I missing something?

I tried changing <Directory "/var/www/cgi-bin">in Httpd.conf
AllowOverride All <--->And None....nothing new there...

In case this might help:

my $DATA_DIR = '/var/www/data/upload/'; # Path of data directory
my $DEFAULT_UPLOAD_DIR = '/data/'; #used only if you don't use password.

my $MAX_SIZE_UPLOAD = 25; # Ko
# File sizes are limited to $MAX_SIZE_UPLOAD (0 No limit), larger files will
# return an 'Internal Server Error'.

my $FORM_URL = 'http://172.654.23.23/upload.html';

my $WEBMASTER_EMAIL = 'mxxx@xx.ca';

my $DISPLAY_LANG = 'En'; # Fr -> french

my $USE_PASSWORD_PROTECT = 1; # 1 to use password protect 0 else.
my $PASSWORD_FILE = $DATA_DIR.'password.txt'; # Name of Password file

Thanks again!

Martin.
