I haven't seen any that comes with all of that preinstalled
a Google search didn't pull anything worthwhile.But I am
sure if you bought a Computer from IBM,Sun or Redhat. You could have them install something like VMware Personally I would just install something like Ubuntu or Fedora then install Vmware(But thats just me)
As of now no such distro AFAIK. But you can always install it. VMware server is free and good. Though it pains a bit if you install on newer kernels. If you are stuck while installing, let us know.
If you want a lightweight version, you may try Virtualbox - I installed windows XP in 5 minutes with Virtualbox - something hard to believe even for myself. God knows what it did!!!

Windows? reboot. Linux! be root!!
Thanks for the input. Basically, I had installed Centos 5.0 with XEN and was playing with that. Sounds like VMware's free version would be better for my needs but I've not been able to find enough documentation to show me how to get things going.
It was not a problem installing the RPM version on the CentOS server after turning XEN off so would like to test it on that server first. I'll most likely move it to a RHEL machine later if it'll suit the needs.
So,I guess I need to find docs on running it after install. I was kinda hoping I might be able to find a version like XEN, fully ready to go after OS install.
Nothing but CentOS wanted to install on this particular machine so I have a fresh CentOS 5.1 installation. I tried RHEL and Ubuntu and both would not work no matter what I tried so, I can either try some other distros or is CentOS any good for a VM server?
>CentOS - What I know is it's exactly RHEL packed in a bottle labeled >centos & the cap is removed (RHN)
>So if you are familiar with RHEL, you won't find any difference in CentOS >& it works fine as a VM server.
Actually, I use both and you're right, they are somewhat one and the same. However, their default installers and some of the administrative functions are quite different. I always prefer an RHEL box when I can get one but in this case, RHEL won't install on these older IBM servers.
Anyhow, I'll give it another try then, I kept running into problems when trying to get this working before. I'll post my findings once I get going on it.
