Any applications/converters for *.mix files

As the title says, are there any applications (plugins for GIMP?) that can open a MS Photodraw *.mix file?

My searches haven't come up with anything so far

here is a quote from something i found

Quote:
Microsoft Image eXtensions (.mix) is a closed proprietary (non-standard) format used by Microsoft's PictureIt! and PhotoDraw

from that i take it that you'll need to get the images in an open format, such as *.jpeg, if possible.
good luck.

Thanks PEACEDOG, for the quick reply;

I thought it was a bit wierd that I couldn't find much about *.mix image files: all my searches turned up mp3 etc sites.

It is a pity though. IMH(umble)O, because I always found Photodraw to be a quite useful and intuitive application.

Thanks again,
mark

you may or may not be able to run the program under wine, you could check into that. i reccomend however, using open file types, even if you are able to run the program.
good luck.
