Question allow users to shutdown

Hi there, I'm looking to give users the ability to shut the machine down using the shutdoan - h now or -r

I have tried using linuxconf to grant this permission to the users but it will still not work.

there are now problems changing to root and using the command but I would like to prevent this by allowing some users to have this ability.

Thanks in advance.....

Harry

Not too sure, but I think you just have to put a link to the shutdown script in /bin (as shutdown is in /sbin).
