A start job is running for dev-disk-by.device

I am getting a message when I boot up:
Quote:
A start job is running for dev-disk-byxxxxx.device
This runs for 1.5 minutes.

I looked through the Internet, but am still confused about what to do. I checked the UUID in /etc/fstab with ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid. The only difference was in the swap patition. I also installed another linux distribution in another partition and told it to use the same swap partition. Would this cause the problem? If so how would I fix this. If not what else needs to be done to fix this problem?

make sure that the UUIDs in both fstabs match the partition's.
i.e., boot into both distros and edit fstab.

btw, are you still using wheezy & crunchbang? time to upgrade, imho.
