Hi, I have 2 questions:

1. I'm having trouble with my themeing in gnome2. I can install the themes fine and then choose them allright. However, whenever I startx the theme has reset to the default and it only switches back if I run "gnome-control-center" and then go into the theme manager. Once the theme manager is opened the theme automatically changes with no further action necessary. How can I set it to set the theme automatically when I startx?

2. I've just installed two sound related plugins for gkrellm the spectro-scope and the volume meter. They install and display correctly, but don't actually respond to or affect the sound. For example if I play an mp3 with xmms the spectroscope remains blank. And the volume meter has no affect on the volume when it is adjusted. It is not a permissions problem. The only thing that I can think of is that it has something to do with the fact the gkrellm is set to start up when i startx. Any one have any suggestions??
