But I still need help......How do i Reinstall my RIVA TNT2 drivers? I can't do up2date because I can't connect in linux now throught my software modem. It is a pctel and have gotten the drivers and done all I need, but got errors. Never have been able to figure out what to do. Running rh9, I'm guessing it could be a library issue.

Where did you get the pctel drivers, how did you try to install them, and what errors did you get? I've had loads of problems with mine, but I know how to fix them. Also, what modem are you using? Is it V90 internel?

Ah yes I tried both the 0.9.6 and 0.8.6 versions. I got a bit further in the 0.8.6, but I can't remember the prob. I've just downloaded the 0.9.6 one and I'm gonna reboot and try it and let you know. Thanks for offering to help, I searched and searched but couldn't find what i needed.

Two points:
1) I got my drivers precompiled and did insmod -f driver and this worked. You could try the same at http://radel.inet.net.nz/sis730amr.html , but only if you have an SiS 630/635/730 SiS system
2) modversions.h is generated by the make dep stage of kernel compilation. You should recompile your kernel, since the basic source tree won't include it. If you have already done that, make sure that a) you have the file (find /usr/src -name modversions.h), and b) your source is either in /usr/src/linux, or you are passing the path to ./configure (./configure --with-hal=pct789 --with-kernel-includes=/path/to/my/kernel-sources/include)

Hope this helps
Guy
