Unhappy unreal tournament freezes

i just got the unreal tournament installed on my mandrake 9.1 box, and it works perfectly except for one thing: the game freezes after playing domination for about 2 mins. this might apply to other game modes, but i havent played anything other then deathmatch, assault, and domination. please help. if its any help, i have a radeon 9000, but ill hopefully be upgrading to an nvidia geforce fx 5700 tommorrow.

I know this post may be ancient but I may have this same problem. How do you switch from the sdl renderer to the opengl?

Just edit the ~/.loki/ut/System/UnrealTournament.ini file and change the line that reads SDLDrv.SDLRenderDevice to OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice. That's all.
