Stand alone Linux games?


i have a simple Pentium 2 333mhz w/ slackware 11.
i would like to find some simple games to play on it.
I enjoy old dos adventure games. Anything out there for me?
anything free? Thanks guys.

Checked it out already? Good you have Slack, it should not be a pain if you need to compile some from source..

What do you mean by "standalone games"?

Install dosbox, then do a Google search for dos games.

by stand-alone, i just mean games that don't need some kind of emulator to run in Linux. Although, pointing me towards some dos emu stuff is nice

freeciv - civ 2 clone
supertux - super mario - like game
