PeterWelzien LQ Newbie Registered: Jun 2004 Location: Sweden Distribution: Gentoo Posts: 26 Rep:	No sound in Heroes of Might and Magic 3 I'm having problems getting sound in HOMM3. When I start the game I get an error message saying: "Can't open /dev/dsp4. No such device." If I create /dev/dsp4 it complains about /dev/dsp5. And if I create that it complains about dsp6 and so on. I'm running kernel 2.6.7 with alsa support. I have no trouble getting sound with XMMS or Neverwinter Nights. Does anybody have a clue as what to do?
