No sound in doom 3 when using alsa

here is the fragment of the log:
Code:
------ Alsa Sound Initialization -----
dlopen(libasound.so.2)
asoundlib version: 1.0.6
opened Alsa PCM device plughw:0 for playback
failed to set 44.1KHz rate: Invalid argument - try ( +set s_alsa_pcm plughw:0 ? )
close pcm
dlclose
WARNING: sound subsystem disabled

--------------------------------------
----------- Alsa Shutdown ------------
I've tried the suggested parameter but with no success. I'm using Mandrake 10.1 and snd-ens1371 module for sound. What can be wrong? All other apps do have sound with alsa, as well as doom 3 with oss. Greets.
