How can I run an Ubuntu game inside a window of 800x600 resolution?

Hello.
How can I run an Ubuntu game in a window of lets say 800x600 resolution.
In particular, I want the game AstroMenace to run in this size window.

If there's no option within the game to set the window size, you might find a hidden folder for the game with a configuration file inside. Go to your /home/username folder then press ctrl & h to show hidden files and folders. Look for a folder that bears the same name as the game.

Cheers {BBI}Nexus{BBI}. I found the hidden folder and changed a part where the resolution is. However when I start AstroMenace, the resolution did not change.
