glx renderer uses "forceSW"

games are running VERY slowly at under 1 FPS, here is the glxinfo output :

Code:
OpenGL renderer string: GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X/AGP/SSE/3DNOW!/forceSW
OpenGL version string: 1.5.3 NVIDIA 71.67
does anyone know how to fix it ?

I read your libSDL post and tho I can't really offer any suggestions, I do run an LFS 6.0 system with these drivers on an FX5900 card with no problems. Perhaps by comparing our configs we can come up with a solution.

Mad.

I tried nvidia forums but they think it's a bug or something that is wrong with me, because this driver did work on a 2.4 system
