Games running under Cedega

I am wondering if they are, or how much laggier games are in Cedega compared to a Windows install? I'm currently installing Mandriva 2007, and am wondering if I should have a dual boot, or if it's not a big deal like some people say?

Any help would be appretiated, thank you.

+ Older games do ok to fantastic.
+ If your id software games are acting funky(usually just sound for crap AC'97 sound hardware), for whatever reason, their (Quake 3 engine and older I mean) games run next to(if not) native speeds.
+ Unless it is an MMO, I wouldn't be playing Tournaments with the speed Cedega throws out on modern games.
+ Read the above sentence more than once, so you know it is important to know that fact.
+ Learn to use WINE before you dive head first into Cedega. You might get ____ working just fine, or close to it, and you wouldn't have dropped a dime in the process.
