CoD error with wine...

it comes up that "Call of Duty couldn't write a file. The hard drive is probably full.", i have no clue wtf is going on, i installed wine from source and notepad and other apps work fine in wine, i installed CoD via a loki installer, (couldn't figure out how to umount the cdrom in the middle of the install), any help is greatly appreciated

btw- i have 50gigs free on the hd, so i know its not full

I don't know enough about wine and linux gaming to fix your problem, but I am a little confused about how you phrased your question. What would not being able to unmount the CD drive have anything to do with the hard drive seeming full? It's probably just that I haven't installed the game myself. I have no context to put it in.

On the other hand, you could always use the -f flag to force an unmount, particularly on a read only medium (such as a cd drive):

umount -f /dev/cdrom

If that does not seem to work in the program, then check:

cat /proc/mounts

That will tell you all the places things are currently mounted. Sometimes a program will keep an eye on /etc/mtab instead. The two files should keep in sync, but if they don't you can always manually edit /etc/mtab.

I probably wasn't much help, but it was the best I could give considering I don't have a good context.
