Another Doom 3 thread :(


Hi all, ive been through all the doom 3 threads on the site and still cant get doom 3 going.

Im using a mobile p4 2.8ghz, 512mb ram and a geforce4 440 go 64mb, using kernel 2.6.13.4, i have installed the linux driver from the nvidia site and have configured the Xorg.conf correctly (i think).

glxgears gives me:

Similar to what other people have run into. Dont know if this matters but Soldier Of Fortune runs smoothly.

Hi,

I seem to remember having a problem like that too one a nvidia card. I *think* the resolution was something like:

chmod 666 /dev/nvidiactl

(as root or via sudo)
