I had the same problem when i installed Americas Army.

To fix the problem I reloaded the GLX extensions and then reinstalled the Nvidia video drivers

No problems so far

Nvidia Problem

I am a fedora newbie. I need everything spelled out for me. I can do mandrake inside and out.

I have an nvidia based video card and when i go to install in su mode
i get the error message can not download and compile a kernel from the nvidia website
what do i do to make this work. I have the Kernel 2.6.1.0 or whatever the newest one that up2date gave me.

What is the idiots way to installing this driver.

Ken

same shiz different smell

I am having the same problem the AA splash screen is displayed and then nothing happens, when I run it from console I can see the error

Code:
bubb@linux:~/bin> armyops
Couldn't set video mode: Couldn't find matching GLX visual

History:

Exiting due to error
bubb@linux:~/bin>
glxgears returns:
Code:
bubb@linux:~/bin> glxgears
1403 frames in 5.0 seconds = 280.600 FPS
bubb@linux:~/bin>
I am running SuSE linux 9.2 Pro (ftp version) with the nVidia drivers installed via YOU. so I am not quite sure what the error is.
