Xterm not found

When I try to launch a xterm as in the instructions in blfs, I get an error of:
Code:
/root/.xinitrc: line 1: xterm: command not found
Any ideas? Every thing installed correctly, xclock works, and, even with the error, I still get the x cursor and background.
