Write-protection in scripts

Dear All,

I am attempting to write my own scripts for installing LFS 5.1. The script I have written for the first-pass glibc package (just after 'su - lfs'), when run, causes make to require me to answer "yes" to the removal of certain files and directories. When I install the package manually (sitting here twiddling my thumbs a lot during the process), still as lfs, it doesn't prompt me at all, and successfully installs. Can anyone tell me why this occurs? Thanks!

Dear All,

I... apologize for having asked this question. My script does install the package correctly.

The problem occurs when `rm -r glibc-build glibc-2.3.3-lfs-5.1' executes. A handful of files have read-oly user status, and so rm asks the question "Are you sure?", apropriately. The solution is simple:

Use the -f, or --force, option for rm.

Thanks for you patience.
