Which LFS for a macbook Pro

I am looking into starting an LFS for my macbook pro. My question is should i follow the LFS book or the CLFS one?

EDIT: Sorry, my bad! I didn't carefully reade the clfs site. I have to use the LFS book, since the CLFS is for cross-compiling...

Hi,

You can build LFS on a MacPro, I'm guessing a MacBook Pro is also possible.

Here's an old (2007) post of mine: LFS on a Mac Pro: It is possible! (which was partially based on a linux install on a macbook pro).

It is an old post and things probably have become easier by now (better linux kernel support for [intel]mac's for one). It will cost you some time and it won't be easy.....

Thumbs up Back after all this time :D

Hello again,

After all this time I decided it's time to really get on with it and install clfs on my mbp 6.2
CLFS because I want a multilib system. I got ubuntu installed gentoo also, but clfs I'll install it instead of gentoo. I'll let everyone know how it goes

Wish me luck for a flawless installation
