Tools directory empty

Hi guys,

i began the building and i have installed binutils, gcc-4.7.1 and glibc, strictly following the book. But when i look inside /mnt/lfs/tools i found..nothing! Is it correct or ( as i think ) is there something wrong?

Thanks for answers.

But if I go there and type "ls" i found nothing. It's like ./config does not prepare installation in it , in fact i have installed packages inside the - for example - gcc-build directory .

Ok I just got in so not had time to look into it yet. But something must of gone wrong earlier.
What is the lfs output of echo $LFS

Also on the host what is the output of ls -al /tools

lfs output of echo $PATH

You should have dirs in /mnt/lfs/tools after building binutils.
bin, i686-lfs-linux-gnu, lib, share
