[SOLVED] Setup NetworkManager on 8.3Svinit problems

Good Morning everyone,
I'm wanting to learn more about Svinit 8.3. Have eth0 working ok. Trying to get
NM to work is not going as easy as on my 8.3 Systemd system. When I run:
nmcli I get:

Error: Could not create NMClient object: Could not connect: No such file or directory.

NetworkManager loads on boot. Thanks for any help or ideas

Will close to keep from wasting folks time looking. I will post the solution once I get it figured out.

I had to reinstall dbus and now NM sees my etho connection. Still working on the wifi. I imagine my wifi is a setting in wpa_supplicant thats causing the problem. Will post how I got it to work when figured out.

WICD was the solution for me. Removed NetworkManager then installed wicd .
