Talking No lfsing problem!

Just wanted to drop a line to let all know that I finished my LFS install yesterday, and it was grrrreat!

Okay, it took me a couple of days to install, but it boots with such ease (and quickly), has no crap that other distros put on your hd's and I actually know EVERYTHING that is on the machine.

I've even managed to get the X windowing system working, with fluxbox as the WM. Its light, quick, and does 'almost' everything that my normal distro does!

Well good news indeed. Welcome on board!

And yes Fluxbox is a great window manager. It's nice and light. I even use it on my P4-2.2 Ghz/512 MB ram. I have enough resources that even KDE runs great, but my heart still goes out to Fluxbox. Why waste resources

Absolutely the reason I wanted to use LFS - to control the computer resources. There's nothing like a finely tuned engine as they say. Anyway, congrats on the fantastic guide, and not only that, but the website is excellent as well. I have encountered some problems, but a quick search of the site has always led to a solution.

Now to try some of the hints and BLFS.

Keep up the good work!
