My 1st LFS hurdle ....

I'm trying to compile the 1st package (bash), and I'm getting the following error:

gcc -s -static -rdynamic -g -O2 -o mkbuiltins mkbuiltins.o
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lc
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [mkbuiltins] Error 1

I'm guessing it can't find a libray when linking (-lc)?

Any ideas? Thanks.

Solved ....

After much searching, I found that the libc.a library is required, and it is contained in the glibc-devel package. After installing this, it worked.
