"module list" command not working.

I am working on a RHEL console. Administrator has recently provided me a /scratch to work with it.
I am newbie to /scratch system of linux.
Here when I entered the command:
"
Code:
module list
"
i am getting an output like:
Code:
-bash: module: command not found
According to some previous post i have tried to look for "modules.sh"(for bash). But could not locate it in my system successfully.

Code:
source /etc/profile.d/modules.sh
-bash: /etc/profile.d/modules.sh: No such file or directory
Any suggestion regarding this will be very helpful.
thank you.

I think in that case the modules support is not installed.
you can try to check this file too: /usr/share/modules/init/bash.

Thanks for your reply.
But in my console i'm not getting any directory named "modules" under the tree "/usr/share/".

you can also check if man pages were available (man module for example). I still think it is not installed at all.

I wonder if you mean the symlink for kmod: lsmod?
