make check failures for glibc

I am at 6.11.1 chapter of LFS 6.1
Built Glibc and to did "make check" for it. Patches were applied ok.
I am building on VMWare Workstation. It is a bit slow so I was not surprised that I got many Timeout errors (something about parent killed the child process). I changed TIMEOUT variable in tst-skeleton.c file to a bigger value and timeout problems went away. But there are still something worse: now it is saying that the "child should return SIGNAL ALARM but returned none", when checking tst-eintr1 and later the same for tst-exit2
Is it really only because of VMWare? I have no other way to compile LFS, it would be really sad if I'll have to throw this LFS idea away just because I have no a second PC at home...
Any ideas? Thanks

I would not worry about it, the test also failed on my machine, it's nothing to worry about and you can go further with building the system.

Running BLFS for more then 2 months and no problems so far, installed xorg, kde 3.5 and such.
Also the book noted it that it's pretty normal that some of the tests can fail with time-outs on some computers...
