LFS OS will not recognize one of two ethernet network interfaces.

I just finished building LFS 10.1 (using Ubuntu 21.04), and the last thing left is to ensure both my network interfaces are working. I have two ethernet ports on my PC, one is a Realtek RTL8125 2.5 GB controller, and the 2nd is a I211 Gigabit Intel controller. Here is the output of " lshw -c network ":
Code:
  *-network
       description: Ethernet interface
       product: RTL8125 2.5GbE Controller
       vendor: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.
       physical id: 0
       bus info: pci@0000:05:00.0
       logical name: enp5s0
       version: 04
       serial: fc:34:97:a2:a4:fb
       size: 1Gbit/s
       capacity: 1Gbit/s
       width: 64 bits
       clock: 33MHz
       capabilities: bus_master cap_list ethernet physical tp mii 10bt 10bt-fd 100bt 100bt-fd 1000bt-fd autonegotiation
       configuration: autonegotiation=on broadcast=yes driver=r8169 driverversion=5.11.0-22-generic duplex=full firmware=rtl8125b-2_0.0.2 07/13/20 ip=192.168.0.124 latency=0 link=yes multicast=yes port=twisted pair speed=1Gbit/s
       resources: irq:47 ioport:e000(size=256) memory:fc800000-fc80ffff memory:fc810000-fc813fff
  *-network
       description: Ethernet interface
       product: I211 Gigabit Network Connection
       vendor: Intel Corporation
       physical id: 0
       bus info: pci@0000:06:00.0
       logical name: enp6s0
       version: 03
       serial: fc:34:97:a2:a4:fc
       capacity: 1Gbit/s
       width: 32 bits
       clock: 33MHz
       capabilities: bus_master cap_list ethernet physical tp 10bt 10bt-fd 100bt 100bt-fd 1000bt-fd autonegotiation
       configuration: autonegotiation=on broadcast=yes driver=igb driverversion=5.11.0-22-generic firmware=0. 6-1 latency=0 link=no multicast=yes port=twisted pair

On my Ubuntu system, the Realtek Controller loads as enp5s0, and the Intel as enp6s0. I have them both configured in /etc/sysconfig/ifconfig.enpXs0 files, as well as the needed /etc/hosts and /etc/resolv.conf files from the LFS book, but when I load my completed operating system, only the Realtek enp5s0 interface shows, and I cannot configure enp6s0. (Interface does not exist error when trying to assign IP Addr).

I tried researching this issue, and have tried compiling all the Intel-Network-Interface Drivers from the Kernel configmenu, as well as downloading and building from drivers directly from source, but neither of these methods has worked. I have also looked at the output for the " dmesg " command, but see no message relating to my Intel interface or firmware that may need to be installed.

If anyone could point me in the right direction of how to fix this issue with my Ethernet Controller, it would be much appreciated. Thanks for your consideration.

Well LFS is a great way to learn. I however put many of my own bugs in it when I did it way way way long ago. I am unsure as to if you have a correct driver but lets assume you put it in correctly.

Might look to this page for some starting points. https://unix.stackexchange.com/quest...d-for-a-device

I had some issues until I got the kernel config settings correct.
Good luck
