Lfs --> Blfs

I just finished lfs 4.1, I thought that afterward I would feel some great sense of complishment. I don't. I booted it up and watched the cursor blink for a while. I explored for a little while and I've come to the conclusion that they really do give you a barebones system .
Well I guess I'll get started on blfs.

The real sense of achievement is the fact that you have created a system with a lot of power, you just have to know where to look to find it!

For example, can you build a windows installation yourself? NO.
Does Windows have a dictionary installed from the start? NO
Does Windows have a manual for every command installed? NO!

BLFS does greatly extend the power of Linux, and another wonderful thing is you can choose what you want and don't want, this is where LFS is really a winner. For example, do you want GNOME or KDE or neither, its YOUR CHOICE! YAY!

Oh well, just my opinions.

I suppose. I do like the fact however that I install only what I want to. It's like getting the chicken with all the fat and dark meat removed.
There's not a whole lot that I can do with the system while it's just LFS is what I'm trying to say I guess.

Well thats where the fun starts, now you install LOTS of software

Yes, installing say X or Mozilla can be a pain, and can take AGES but at the end of the day its worth it
