Interface wlp63s0 does not exist | LFS 9.1

Hi! I recently built an LFS system using the 9.1 LFS book. I keep running into an issue at boot where kernel can't recognize my network interface printing that
Code:
 Interface wlp63s0 does not exist
.
Here is the result from my host system's hwinfo:

Code:
network:
wlp63s0 Qualcomm Atheros QCA6174 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter
  enp62s0 Qualcomm Atheros Ethernet controller
network interface:
  lo Loopback network interface
  wlp63s0 Ethernet network interface
  enp62s0 Ethernet network interface
I tried configuring the kernel manually at first but then I recompiled it using the .config from my host system to see whether that would fix it.
Can somebody please help me or at least point me whether that's a kernel issue or an issue in the ifconfig.wlp63s0 I created using the template give in the 7.5.1 chapter of the book? Thank you

PS: lspci command on LFS (booted into, not in chroot) outputs the same thing as the host system. I'm completely at a loss as to what should I do next, but I suspect that the issue is in the udev perhaps not recognizing the device?

I thought i fixed the issue by using sit0 as the interface name, but then realised that that's not what am looking for. The issue seems to be with udev not seeing the network card, since nor the wlp63s0 neither wlp63s0 pop up anywhere when I boot into the LFS.
